Join us to celebrate the joy of music and great diversity of voices in the province. On May 15th 2021.dayofmusic.ca will launch as a hub of freely available performances from across the province for the whole world to watch. Official livestream launch is at 10am on May 15. Day of Music was launched by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra in 2019 as part of its centennial celebrations. More than 100 ensembles and musicians came together with over 14,000 audience members for a free celebration of music that day. For well-known reasons Day of Music 2020 was cancelled. But now, with a year of livestreams and digital performances under our belts, British Columbia’s musicians and ensembles are ready to celebrate with Day of Music 2021. Music lovers, families and the general public will discover favourite artists and performances as well as new voices at 2021.dayofmusic.ca. Official livestream launch is at 10am on May 15.
