Astor Piazolla, the foremost composer and ambassador of tango music, carried the signature sound of Argentina to clubs and concert halls around the world. Histoire du Tango, (originally written for flute and guitar), attempts to convey the history and evolution of the tango. The first movement is full of grace and liveliness, the second more musical, and more romantic, the third tango evolves again as Brazil and Argentina come together and bossa nova is infused into the new tango form.

Vincenzo Iormetti is a violinist and an aspiring performer from Vancouver, BC. From a young age music has played an important role, eventually leading him to the Vancouver Academy of Music’s college program where he currently studies as a violin performance major. Enthusiastic about performance opportunities, Vincenzo has played in various ensembles such as the Vancouver Academy Symphony Orchestra, Kessler Academy, Rosario Strings and West Coast Symphony.
New Westminster based classical guitarist Sara Wazani is an emerging artist, and encouraging teacher for guitar and ukulele. Sharing music with her community alongside her colleagues gives her a sense of purpose. She is working towards her Bachelor of Music performance degree at the Vancouver Academy of Music (VAM), where she has received a generous scholarship, and studies with Hanh Nguyen.
The pair began playing as a duet at the Academy, under the guidance of John “Adidam” LittleJohn, and plan to continue their musical explorations in the future.
