The UBC Percussion Ensemble performs music for the vast spectrum of percussion instruments, including original works from the 20th and 21st centuries, transcriptions of jazz and classical works, and whatever else we can get our hands on. The group has presented concerts at UBC, the VSO Day of Music, John Cage Festival, and the Vancouver Day of Percussion. The ensemble is made up of full-time percussion students at the UBC School of Music, and is directed by Vern Griffiths, Principal Percussion of the VSO.
